The seminar aims to equip students with an understanding of the main issues in knowledge management, an awareness of the key features of success, and an appreciation of the relevant skills needed to manage knowledge in organizations.
In order to do so, this seminar will discuss the foundational concepts that are at the heart of knowledge management. It will be studied from both external (i.e. industry/society) and internal (i.e. organization) perspectives. Different approaches to knowledge management are discussed leveraging examples and cases in different types of organizations. The seminar will also cover the link between knowledge management and innovation management.
As part of the seminar, students will have the opportunity to become familiar with case studies and/or research papers related to the topic.
