​The Department of Economics at Universidad del Pacífico calls on applicants to fill a lecturer position available from March 1st, 2024.

Application requirements:

●    Academic degree: Master in Statistics, Master in Mathematics or related fields from world class universities included in The Times Higher Education World Ranking.
●    Teaching: Relevant experience as a lecturer, reader or teaching assistant. Special consideration will be given to candidates with evidence of outstanding teaching performance.
●    Availability from March 1st, 2024.

Documentation:

1.    Hold a Master degree by the beginning of the appointment​.
2.    Updated resumé (a documented resumé may be required at a later stage).
3.    Motivation letter.
4.    Teaching evaluations.
5.    Two (2) letters of recommendation, one (1) of which, at least, has to be an academic letter of recommendation (the letters can be sent directly by supervisors or be part of the application).

Application documents deadline:  January 15th, 2024. Incomplete records will not be evaluated.

Stages in the evaluation and selection process:

1.    The Academic Chair evaluates the complete records.
2.    Interview with an ad hoc committee (not necessarily a face-to-face interview).
3.    Lectures delivered before a panel of pedagogues and specialists.​

●    The evaluation and selection process may last between one and two months.
●    The call for applications will remain open until a candidate accepts our offer.
●    Beginning of the work contract (tentative): March 1st, 2024.
