The Department of Economics at Universidad del Pacífico calls on applicants to fill a tenure track professor position available from March 1st, 2024.
Application requirements:
● Academic degree: PhD in Economics or related fields from world class universities included in The Times Higher Education World Ranking. Preferably, familiar and experienced with Macroeconomics.
● Research: At least two papers of high academic quality written in English and, ideally, presented at international events (conferences or seminars). Special consideration will be given to papers that are under review or that have been accepted for publication in journals indexed in Web of Science.
● Detailed research plan for the next four years, which should not exceed four pages.
● Teaching: Relevant experience as a lecturer, reader or teaching assistant. Special consideration will be given to candidates with evidence of outstanding teaching performance.
● Availability from March 1st, 2024.
Documentation:
1. Hold a PhD degree by the beginning of the appointment.
2. Updated resumé (a documented resumé may be required at a later stage).
3. Motivation letter.
4. Publications.
5. Research plan.
6. Teaching evaluations.
7. Two (2) letters of recommendation, one (1) of which, at least, has to be an academic letter of recommendation (the letters can be sent directly by supervisors or be part of the application).

Stages in the evaluation and selection process:
1. The Academic Chair evaluates the complete records.
2. Interview with an ad hoc committee (not necessarily a face-to-face interview).
3. Seminar with the faculty of the School of Economics and Finance.
4. Lecture delivered before a panel of pedagogues.
