Vice Presidency for Research

​The Vice Presidency for Research was created in 2015 to reinforce the importance of research and the generation of knowledge at Universidad del Pacífico.  Its main functions are to propose and direct the general research policy of the University, including the conduct of competitions and the allocation of funds and prizes for intellectual production.   It supervises the research activities carried out by students, faculty and associate researchers, in accordance with the mission and objectives established in the University's Statute and Strategic Plan.  It establishes the University Press policy, in coordination with its president.  In addition, together with the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs, it promotes the exchange and international mobility of professor-researchers.

GUSTAVO  YAMADA

GUSTAVO YAMADA

​Dr. Yamada is Vice President for Research at the Universidad del Pacífico, Full Professor in the Academic Department of Economics, and Member of the Research Center at the Universidad del Pacífico. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University (New York, United States) and a Licentiate in Economics from the Universidad del Pacífico.
