Professional Profile
Professor in the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Universidad del Pacífico and CIUP researcher. He holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Labor Relations from Cornell University (USA) and a bachelor's degree and a licenciatura (professional license) in Sociology from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
He has experience as a professor in charge of courses on Academic Research, Human Resources and Sociology of Organizations. His current research focuses on the intersection of the sociology of work and organizations. He has published articles on the dynamics of mining work in Latin America in different peer-reviewed journals in the United States and Europe. In addition, he has edited a book on labor studies in Peru. He is currently conducting research on academic work and human resource management in Peruvian universities.
He is a member of the ALAST (Asociación Latinoamericana de Estudios del Trabajo/Latin American Association of Labor Studies) and the Latin American Studies Association (LASA).
