Juan Carlos Mathews is the director of the Center for Execute Education at Universidad del Pacífico. He has a postgraduate degree in International Business from Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium) and is a PhD candidate in Economics and Social Sciences at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz (Austria). The blog aims to explain, in a practical way, topics related to exportation, economics and franchises, among others.

I decided to write this blog to share my vision that economy is very simple if we express it in easy terms. I'm not going to assume that the person reading knows about the subject. I believe economy does not work in a vacuum, but in a political, social and historical context. That is, it doesn't solve problems by itself: you have to put it in a bigger environment and study it from a multidisciplinary perspective.
