Professional Profile
Main professor and researcher at Universidad del Pacífico Research Center. She holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, a Master's degree in Communication Strategies from Universidad de Lima and a degree in Sociology from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
She has worked as a researcher and consultant for various national and foreign institutions. She has been guest lecturer at universities in France, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico. She has been Professor at the Diplomatic Academy of Peru and at the postgraduate school at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, and Universidad del Pacífico. She has been consultant to BID, APOYO Opinión y Mercado, the Latin American Association of Organizations for Development Promotion (Spanish: ALOP), and the Latin American Federation of Social Communication Schools (Spanish: FELAFACS). For several years she has been a columnist for the editorial page of El Comercio newspaper and author of books and essays on gender and discrimination.
Nowadays she is commissioner at the Ethics Committee of the National Society of Radio and Television of Peru; she is also member of the Editorial Board of Revista Latinoamericana de Estudios sobre Cuerpos, Emociones y Sociedad (RELACES); member of the Latin American Association of Communication Researchers (Spanish: ALAIC); of the Latin American Studies Association (LASA) and of Red Temática de estudios transdisciplinarios del cuerpo y las corporalidades (Mexico).
