The Rio Abiseo National Park (Spanish: PNRA) stands for the biodiversity it hosts. Therefore, it was recognized by UNESCO as World Natural and Cultural Heritage. In this context, it was decided to perform an investigation on economic valuation of ecosystem services in such Protected (ANP) National Area. The working hypothesis is that the support and regulation ecosystem services that the eastern PNRA provides contribute to greater productivity in cocoa production (per hectare) compared to other production areas of the culture, which are not in the sphere of influence of the PNRA. The results show that the additional productivity in the treatment group is between 333 and 498 kg / ha per year. This implies that the average farmer receives annually between S / 2031 and S / 3038 to be in the buffer zone of the PNRA.
